Today during my test I felt very excited and nervous because I was very tired to do this test I thought I did not do well because I did not know some of the question that was on the test. when I had finished it was like a relief because It took so long.

Today in my basic facts test I did okay because I had 25\40. I was struggling in the 1000 because I've had nothing. My goal for next time is to get everything right.

Fractions

WALT: Find fractions of a quantity

1. Matthew is a huge rugby league fan and has 28 NRL cards. One quarter of them are Melbourne Storm cards. How many of them are Melbourne Storm cards?

STRATEGY 28 divided by 4= 7

SOLUTION SENTENCE:  there are 7 Melbourne storm cards.

2. In Mark’s class there are 18 children. ⅓ of them are boys. How many boys are in Mark’s class?  

STRATEGY:  18 divided by 3=6

SOLUTION SENTENCE:

There are 6 boys in marks class

This week for addition I go  right out of 80 and my time was 6:35

This week for subtraction I got right out of 90 and my time was 8:45

My goal is to be fast and accurate Next time.

Weekly Reflection

My highlight for this week were orienteering. It was fun because we always got lost

and we played on the ramp having races.

I had no lowlights for this week.

I am looking forward to our rugby game on Saturday.

Fraction Week 5

A Fraction is a piece of a whole.
Fraction can be ordered.
It show 2 numbers together. 
My favourite thing about Fractions so far is Fraction bingo. 

   

Maths Reflection week 2

Learn Intention: I am learning to order fractions.  

We learnt about ordering fractions using the IXL website. We learnt biggest to smallest and we had to put the fractions in order.

I am still unable to do my fractions but I know my halfs

Learning Intention: I am understand the place value  of numbers. 

Place  value is when you count the place value blocks the massive cube equals 1000, the flat cube equals 100,  the sticks equals 10 and the little cube equal 1.the place value we learnt is - ones tens hundreds Thousand ten of thousands.

At math time this week we got to go on Studyladder to get some points. Now I have a bronze certificate. I enjoyed playing number games and learned how to count fast.
