Today the whole school went to Sylvia Park. The bus was funny because it was joined in the middle. The escalators were great, I wanted to go up the stairs, but Mr Blackmore would not let me so we went up the escalators.

The chairs in the theatre were comfortable. We were fidgeting on the chairs. There was a button and we were touching the button on it to put your chair down.  We didn't want to sit on the chairs so we sat on the ground it was fun because we were sitting on the ground.

My favorite part was when Tamaki College  did the Azonto dance,  it was cool because they went to different places in Auckland.

Once a upon time there was a weird neighbour called ET. They were having a party.
It had flashing lights, then they went outside. I thought to myself "what is happening" so I went to their party and said "stop!" They were tired so they all went to sleep

The Rosary

The rosary beads are used for prayer.  We say the Our Father, Hail Mary and the Glory Be.  You can take rosary beads to funeral and sometimes you can go into the church by yourself and say the rosary too.

Smart Learner

When you are a Smart Learner you have to obey the rules
and always keep on the right track. Before you go to your table you have to listen first because if you don't listen you won't be able to do your work. To be a smart learner you also need to say and always use your virtues, especially your virtue of responsibility.

Term 3 Reflection

Being a successful learner involves you being reflective about the learning process. It is about you identifying your strengths, weaknesses and areas you would like to improve in. Reflection just does not happen at the end of a task, it can be throughout a task.

Kids 4 Kids 2012

At the school we were waiting for Miss Tui We were waiting with my friends it was boring because we had to wait.

Finally Miss Tui came and Frank and Simione came. We all came into the van and when we nearly got there we looked at the back and we saw Misiotei. We were waving to him then we faced to the front then we were there. I was cold outside but when we got inside I was warm. 

When we got on the stage I was scared then when they opened the curtains I saw the crowd but then I was even more scared. Soon I got used to it on the stage. I liked the part when we did the last song, it was funny because the animals came out of the blue and started to dance in front of us.

When it was finished we went into the van and then we had some chips and a drink. We went to drop off Savelio first then we dropped me off. When i got home I went to sleep then when I woke up I went to school and played with my friends.

My favourite part was when Ana and Rachel sang their solo, it was beautiful.

Musical Evening

In the afternoon we had a sausage sizzle, soon we lined up in our order and went to the hall.

We sat down behind room 2 and it started with a song prayer and soon we had to make the sign of the cross. A 5 year old girl sang about God, then when room 2 came off the stage it was the next item which was room 1. They did a stick dance and they all did good. People started to put  money on the kids.

It was kind of boring waiting for our turn because I was nervous. Room 7 girls did a haka, then after the girls it was a group song. They sang a song and soon it was the noisy boys turn. I liked the part when the boys were drumming really loudly.  It was fun because we cheered them on.  Then it was our turn, we had a lot of fun.

Positive Commenting

Cross country

On a very hot afternoon, the St Pius X students ran in Cross country. There were parents who were cheering as loud as they could for their children. It  was kind of boring because we had to wait for the juniors to have their races.  Finally it was time for the seniors races.

When we ran we saw some of the teachers around the course.  It was also very, very hot and I was sweaty.. We had to run in  our ages so we knew who was first,, second or third. We had to run the whole course. I was very tired.  When I had  come back from the road Miss Williams told us who come in  our orders 1nd , 2nd , 3rd, 4th, 5th..

When I was going to sit down I felt lazy. Finally it was finished and we all went to our classes and we ate our oranges. We then all went back home and had a rest.

Apple Description

We had Granny Smith apple In the afternoon.

The apple was as green as the grass and as round as the moon. It was very delicious and it tasted sweet but sour at the same time. It had a creamy white colour which made the apple look very nice to eat. Once I took a bite, it felt fresh in my mouth.

When you finish your apple it is only the core left.
You put the core in the bin, don't leave it on the ground.

The Granny Smith was the fruit of the day.

The Olympic torch

The olympic torch is at the Olympic stadium and it is shiny and hot. It is made of metal which makes the petals look like gold orange.

It sounds like a humming sound and it feels hot. The Olympics is seen at the the Olympic stadium. It tells us when the Olympics starts and when it is finished.

The Torch is a symbol of the Olympics and brings all countries together.    

Netbook Description

I got my learning tool  on the first day  of  term and it has no sound and it is hard and smooth on the top. It is light and it is like a thin rectangle and it is black and shiny.

At night we keep my Triple Epc  in the  C.O.W so we can charge your netbook so it can't die and it can last for the whole day  

It helps me with my learning and helps us to get on the internet and you can work on it.  Sometimes when you are not connected you can't get onto the internet .

You have to be careful when you walk around and you can use it with your hands. You are not to be silly on the internet and you have to be careful with your netbook.

We are some of the first people in New Zealand to use a netbook for our learning.

I have to be responsibility on the internet and it is not a toy, it is a learning tool.

What is Anointing?

The sacraments that have anointing in them are baptism and healing of  the sick.
Special oil called chrism oil and holy water are used for anointing.
During Anointing you are being welcomed and blessed by God.

Imagination story

 
One morning my Mum said “go outside and dig a hole.” But sadly I fell into it and arrived in a different planet. It wasn’t the same as our planet because it had different trees, different houses,and different shops to ours. The trees were red, the houses were all triangle shapes and the shops had no people working in them only robots.

Suddenly a man called Thor came and gave me an egg, it was round and green. He told me to go and hide it in my room. He was wearing ripped clothes, green shoes and he had a black Hummer. He had very tanned skin and black hair.

Thor gave me an egg, it was round and green. He gave it to me and said “take it and hide it in your room because our planet will blow into pieces if you don’t, we need it to be safe”.

When I opened my eyes I was at the backyard so I went to my room and hid the egg under my bed. My mum called me to dinner so I went, still thinking about the egg under my bed.

Pigeon Impossible

Plot: The man was walking on the road and cars stopped  and he went to buy a donut and sat on a chair and ate it. A bird wanted some and the man broke a piece and gave to the bird and the bird but the bird didn’t want a little piece he want the whole thing. The bird then fell into the suitcase and was pushing all the buttons and shooting the people. When the man held up the donut the bird stopped and went to the man. The man was going to hit the bird but instead hit the button for the bomb.

Problem:  the problem was the donut hit the button and the rocket went up in the air. The rocket was a bomb and it was going to Russia.

Solution: The man grabbed the suitcase and he it turned into an invisible car. He went after the rocket and got his gun but the bird was in front of Walter. Walter opened his case and let go of the donut. The bird went down after it and Walter took out his missile and shot it at the rocket. The rocket came down and landed on the bird eating the donut as the man put on his glasses and walked away.

Your opinion of the story: My opinion was it was really, really fun because the rocket was coming down and landed on the bird

School in the Past and Present Presentation

This is a presentation that me and my partner did. We found information from our trip to Howick Historical Village. I think me and my partner did kind of good on this presentation. Next time we need to put more information.

My Favourite thing from our trip

My favourite thing from the trip  is the scavenger hunt  because we had to find stuff and it was fun .

Howick Historical Village

My favourite thing from our trip to Howick Historical Village was the parlour games because we got to play the blindfolded game. We had to spin around and when you got dizzy you had to find a person and sit in front of them and say “squeak piggy squeak”. You had to then guess the person ‘oinking’ behind you. They then became the next person to have a go at the blindfold.

Miss Dodds said it was then time for the string game we had to get over our body. It was the boys team that won. Our teams were called Lakers and Dragons.

The last game we played was called ‘ball and neck game’. We had to pass the ball with no hands, we had to use our neck to pass it. Miss Dodds said “get your marks, get set, go!”. It was hard and people were excited and jumping up and down. The bell rang and so we had to go back and have lunch time with the other classes.

Tom and the Dragon

Tom said “can I play at the cave?”, his mum said “don't go in the cave and never ever go to the cave because one day the dragon will burn you to death”. Tom didn't listen and went to the cave.

When Tom went in the cave and the dragon saw him. Tom was going to kill the dragon and the dragon was in tears. At the end they became friends and never
became enemies again.

oktapodi

Oktapodi and his girlfriend were happy in the pet shop when suddenly the girlfriend was taken.  Oktapodi went after her and he was just in time to get on the the van.  He went to the front of the car and the man saw  him and tried to hit him off. Oktapodi took the lid off and blocked himself and the man nearly crashed. The girl friend pulled
Oktapodi up and they fell into the water and swum to the other side, they were like bouncing balls. The man got them again and shout at them, but he drove off a cliff and landed in the water.  Oktapodi and his girlfriend were safe, but at the end a bird took Oktapodi.

My opinion of this movie is that it was a crack-up because the bird took Oktapodi at the end.

My Soul Friend

A Soul friend is a person to take care of. My soul friend’s name is Joseph and his favourite subject is maths because he likes to find out new things. His favourite color is blue because everything he has is almost blue.

At the soul friends mass we had to sit on the left side and we had to sing the opening hymn so we had to stood up. My soul friend was good at mass so it helped alot.

I like having Joseph as my soul friend because we can share our lunch also he likes to come and play with me at lunch time at the playground.
