Activity Week!!!

Sailing!!!

Last week some of the students got an chance to go on a trip to sailing. It was an awesome day out. When I got up the driveway with my bag on my back, I saw people running around like mad people trying to do everything at once. So once I got in the classroom, Mrs Tui ask if I had my gear. I replied saying yes. When I got to school, we had to go. I walk outside the classrooms and went to the car. We drove to where we were sailing. I was tired and scared because I thought it was gonna be scary. But when Mr Slade told me that everything is gonna be okay my nerves were fading away. Once everyone was here, the instructor introduced himself to us.

When everything was set, we went down the beach and went into the water with our boats. It was tough getting into the sails because it kept on moving from side to side. Once everyone was in there boats were road off to our destination. I kept falling into the water because I always did something wrong. It was so cold, when I drop into the water. Once I got back onto the boat we had to turn around and head back to shore. I got to shore and my other partner, Paul. I hop into the boat and went off. It was funny when Paul was on the boat because he did not know how to control the boat and mainly he just stay on one spot  the boat was not going anywhere

My favourite part of the day is when we got to ride the boat to our destination because when I was just cruising down the water I tip over and fall into the water more than once.

Today in Spanish we had to learn the introduce. We also had to have a conversation with another class mate.  I chose to have a conversation with Tei.

KiwiSport 2015

Today for touch we did a couple of drills and play it had been and excited week for us because we have learnt a lot and also the plays that we have did was hard because we kept on getting lost. The most thing I enjoy about today's kiwisport was doing the plays because it can come useful for games.

Today during my test I felt very excited and nervous because I was very tired to do this test I thought I did not do well because I did not know some of the question that was on the test. when I had finished it was like a relief because It took so long.

Today for our second session of  Touch, I was the player of the match in the red team  . I stepped alot of people including Pate and Patrick.  I had a great time . I can’t wait for the next session !

Recount On Football

Football Training

On a warm afternoon my uncle picked me up to go to football training. So when he got out of the car, we left. It was a busy afternoon driving in traffic. By the time we got there training had already started so then the coach told us to go for a run because we came late. So by the time I finished my run we were warmed up for training.

We were doing a drill, so when it was my turn to do it I had to run around the cone, run with the ball, I had Linesmen to protect me, and also I had  to get past the defence, which was kind of hard. Also there was this other drill, we had to wait for the whistle to blow then we had to run as fast as we could, then turn around and wait for the quarterback to throw the ball to us and we had to try and catch it. It was always hard to catch the ball because the defenders blocked the throws which were always high and long.

After doing all those drills we finally had a team run down to the signs and back. Next we had to cool down. After we had cooled down we took off our helmets and held them in the air, then our coach called the end of the training by saying “Brothers on three, lightning on three” Then we had to repeat what he said, but we said it like this, “123 brothers, 123 lightning”.

My first game is in 3 week time and I am looking forward to it because this is gonna be my first time playing football and it is gonna be a great experience for me. Also I will be able to learn heaps.

People who love themselves don’t hurt other people on purpose. The more we hate ourselves,the more we want others to hurt like us. Ask yourself this: do you really think we should live like this?

Bullying is something so normal in our lives that sometimes when it happens we don’t know it’s happening. The national education association surveyed a school and found out that 160,000 children don’t go to school because they’re scared of getting attacked by other children exactly 282,000 students a year

Why should we give into bullies

why should we let them hurt us physically and emotionally each year

is it because we’re different

because we aren’t normal

but then, what’s normal

It doesn’t matter what religion you are or what culture you are. It doesn’t matter if you like reading or if you would rather play sports one fact stay the same we are all humans we all have a heart we all have the ability to show compassion and kindness so, everyone, act like it

Kia ora, today in Maori our group worked together to put this illustration together. This illustration was about a story named the beginning. Or how Rangi and Papa got seperated. They got seperated by their children, Tu, Tane, Tawhiri, Rongo and Tangaroa.

My Holiday

On a Cold Thursday morning I woke up and got ready to go to the movies with my family. By the time everyone was ready we went and did some shopping for snacks we bought heaps of junk food. After doing our shopping for snacks we went straight to the movies we arrived there at 10:00, then we went to check what time the movie started.

It stared at 12:00 so we made our way back down and went to the food court to get some food.  We bought some food but then we ate it, the food was meant to be for the movies. When it was time to go watch the movies we went straight to the movies to watch the Ant Man. The movie was boring so I went for a walk outside. I had money so I brought a jumper from factory.

After that I felt very happy because I had heaps to eat.

My highlight were going to buy a jumper and my lowlight was nothing.

My Basic Fact Test!

Today in my basic facts test I did okay because I had 25\40. I was struggling in the 1000 because I've had nothing. My goal for next time is to get everything right.

The sky opened   

A voice was heard

A dove appeared from above

It’s sunny and calm here at River Jordan late in the afternoon

John The Baptist and Jesus are in the water.  John is baptizing his cousin Jesus. Then this amazing thing happened the sky opened and a voice was heard.  

My First Swimming Lesson

When I got inside the pool it was quite cold but I got use to it. “Put your head under the water” the instructor said. I was quite embarrassed because I did not know how to float. I saw people looking at me and laughing and  in my head I said “I am going to try my best.”

When we were finished when went out then went back inside our instructor told us some tips how to swim with a board

We go to the pool on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday  we had many many lesson because some people don't know how to swim we also did challenges I challenge Frank to a swimming battle I won because I could swim faster than frank the best part of my swimming lesson was learning how to swim even faster.

Mother's Day Writing

My mother is without doubt she is very important to me

She will always tried her best to make me smile whenever I am feeling unhappy,and she also has the kindest eyes I ever seen  She is an inspirational, I always look up to her. she spoils me whenever it my birthday, she is A loving mother she cares about me, she always say “ Family before Friends” she is the most wonderful mother in the entire world, we have a strong family relationship she will always provides us food without her we are nothing to her.She's been to all  my rugby games and been my number one supporter and punished me whenever I did something wrong. Even though I did not enjoy the punishment then, I now look back and now I realize that it was meant to love me the right way and I know deep down her heart she will always love me till she dies and she will always tell me to follow the right path whenever I am going down the wrong path.

Day out at the Point England Beach

When we arrive there with shaun we park Near point england school we went outside of the van and walk to point england school we saw Mr burt he told us to go down to the beach because that is where the others are so we went through point england school and their reserve and went down to the beach.  

When we got to the beach we saw other school. while we saw another school we were practicing we saw people that we know so we went over and said hi but shaun said come down to the beach to get ready for the waka to come after a while others school staring up turning when everyone turn up it was time someone blow the thing it was loud like a lion roar.

We had to say the e oho while they were still travelling once they came on land we stop and sang the nga waka we sang it 6 times then the last time we said He.

We kept on singing those songs over and over again by the time when everyone got out of the boat and came on land  some of Point England kids did there mihimihi when it was done school's came down to shake hands  to welcome them on our beach after when everyone shake our hands school’s staring going back to there school but the leaders of stay back to have a feed and talk to the people that travel around the world.
